Background
I was born in a conservative household and grew up with the values that society gave me and I endorsed them without questioning. I had undiagnosed ADHD, and I performed worse throughout school, because I had no idea what physics was for, or what chemistry was for, I only found them to be utterly pointless. I do remember at one point my teacher asked me, “Are you dim-witted?”, I did not know the meaning of the word, but I said “Yes”. I did not learn anything from primary and secondary school, 12 years of education, and all I learned was how to write and how to read.
Then I got admission in University around 2018, and got introduced to philosophy, I was enticed by it. For the first time in my life, through philosophy, I was able to learn what physics and other science subjects were, it turned my life upside down.
I had already grown disillusioned by conservative views and societal values I held and grew up with, frontiers of science like Lambda-CDM, Quantum Mechanics and Standard Model made most sense to me as an explanation of the world around me. I do remember being excited about the launch of James Webb Space Telescope, it was breathtaking for me that we would get to learn more about the early stages of the universe.
That’s how my intellectual journey began, I don’t differentiate between domains of inquiry like science, religion and Art which is a form of human expression, as philosopher Jesse Prinz (CUNY Graduate Center) put it, they’re united in “Wonder”. They come from humans’ urge to know, to understand what all this is and what it even means.
The disillusionment with science
A few months ago, an idea came into my mind, and it was related to where is anti-universe, Lambda-CDM answer was “All that exists is Universe”, it could not be outside our universe. Then, I considered maybe it exists in orthogonal direction to our universe beyond quantum scales separated by higher dimensions.
These thought experiments embroiled me more into geometry, I went to Euclid’s Elements and studied his postulates from an ontological and topological perspective, while also exploring etymology of words which will be discussed in upcoming articles.
I developed a few hypotheses which were related to Euclid’s Geometry and did relate to quantum mechanics. I published three different papers and submitted them to two different journals. One of them has been rejected, I do believe the others will be rejected too.
I did try to contact a few physicists and mathematicians too via different channels, but no response, I feel as if all doors are shut for me.
The question I’m left with: “Is this what science is?”, where I cannot even have a discussion with someone, because I believe that my hypotheses have something real to offer. All it offers is a slightly different frame of reference that is worth discussing at least. It feels like science has become a new age religion, as Nietzsche put it in Beyond Good and Evil (1886): “Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster; and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you”.
However, science with its high academic standards has become the very thing it was conceived to fight against: dogmatism. Where providing an alternative hypothesis is like a nightmare, before even being considered the paper is rejected on cue if it does not line up with leading models. I even considered publishing my findings in Philosophy of Science journal, but I know my hypothesis will suffer the same fate there as well. I feel let down by the science community. By becoming gatekeepers of their pristine models, they’re no different than high priests of the past and have choked out free thought.
To sum it up, I wish it was never this way, and that at least someone, anyone from the scientistic community should have at least considered or engaged with my work and provided me with feedback so that I could strive to do better and improve my hypotheses. For me this website will serve as the place where I will discuss my ideas with readers like you and it’s start of new journey.
